Large glass eye feature in this hotel lounge.
The Project Brief
Al Bandor Piano Lounge is apart of a very large hotel complex in Oman called Barr Al Jissah run by the Shangri- La's Group.
This prestigious lounge had a glass eye feature created above the main bar and piano area. The thin lines of glass where laid on their side and lit from behind by two different light sources. There are two harnesses which had 0.75mm endlit fibre tails randomly spread around the eye shape. There where also two harnesses of glass cracked side glow which all the tails where laid like spaghetti on top of the glass weaving in and out of each other.
The light sources where 150w DMX which where programmed to either work with the music or programmed to allow colour change and twinkling.

150W QFX light sources provided illumination to each chandelier.
Fibre
0.75mm diameter pmma endlit fibre used was to create the eye feature.
Fibre
2.2mm diameter cracked glass side glow fibre used was to create the centre of the eye.
